[서울 = 뉴스핌] 알파경제 = According to the Korea Exchange on the 2nd, 10 companies have left the KONEX market this year due to delisting, not for the purpose of transfer listing. This has already surpassed the record of last year (8 companies).
The most recent delisting process is PNI Company. The reason for the delisting is that it violated the rule of terminating the contract with the listed consultant and appointing a new consultant within 30 days.
It has been 10 years since the opening of the KONEX market in July, but some have voiced that the results are not as good as expected. The exchange has proposed that companies that have entered the KONEX market will be listed on the KOSDAQ market within three to four years.
However, out of 129 KONEX-listed stocks, 75.8% (97) were listed from 2013 to 2020. In other words, most companies have not been able to get out of KONEX and have become "old people."
The industry believes that the small amount of transactions and difficulties in financing are causing listed companies to decide to delist.
KONEX's average daily transaction value last month was 2.44 billion won. The difference is clear compared to the KOSDAQ's average daily transaction amount (KRW 10.5218 trillion) during the same period. In addition, 49 of the KONEX-listed companies had an average daily transaction price of less than 1 million won in September. This is one-third of all KONEX-listed companies.
